She is also popular for her film roles in 'Private Parts', 'Deep impact', 'True Criminal' and '1408'. McCormack was the child of a clinical therapist, and owner of an ice-cream shop. Her family is a non-entertainment family. When her parents separated in 1990 she attended Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut where she graduated with an BA in Comparative Arts. When she was 12, she began her acting career in an production of the Christmas opera "Amahl And The Night Visitors". The actor performed throughout the years, and her roles were eventually brought to screen. In the present, McCormack is recognized as one of the most flexible artistes in Hollywood. She is the mother of three children and a husband who is a producer/director Michael Morris.
