
Sara Aliza Eisen is an American television journalist presently affiliated with CNBC. She is the co-anchor on CNBC's shows 'Squawkon on the Street' as well as Closing Bell'. A native of Ohio native, she was not much interested in markets or currencies in the years prior to her time in college. When she was a student at New York University, she worked as an intern for an online start-up called ForexTV.com. Her first exposure in business news from this internship. The Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University gave her a master's of broadcast journalism. She completed a four-month internship at Bloomberg TV in Hong Kong. She then returned to the US and started working in Bloomberg's New York office. Then, she became a television anchor. CNBC brought her on in December 2013 as a reporter. She has served as co-anchor for 'Worldwide exchange as well as 'Power Lunch', and then landed the job on 'Closing Bell' in 2018. Eisen has been co-anchoring "Squawk on the Street" since the year 2014. Her primary focus since the time she joined CNBC is global consumer news.
